Re: Possible to disable immobilizer. The immob fault is probably a one off. If the starting problem is the immobiliser, the engine will start for 1 or 2 seconds and then stop. Your problem could be air in the fuel lines, coolant temp sensor, starter, battery voltage & earth, timing, temp sensor or glow plug fault. To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the digits, several quick presses (example: 2 for digit 2) then a stop of one and a half seconds to validate the digit and resume, repeat the process until you have entered the full code. This should enable you to start your Isuzu D-Max without having to remove the immobiliser.
You have to reset the computer by taking the postive cable off the battery, then turn the key in the ignition over 10 times one after another in like 2 sec each turn, then turn it over 1 last time and hold for about 5/10 sec. You wont hear the engine, just clicks but the last time you should hear a beep. To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the numbers, several quick presses (example: 2 for the number 2) then stop for one and a half seconds to confirm the number and repeat the operation until you have entered the entire code. This should allow your car to start without having to remove the immobilizer. npkM1.
