Simplest answer, UK doesn't use metric on roads, so your GPS will give you goofy speed limits. If you convert your settings to mph you will see round numbers like 30 and 60. If you use a conversion chart then no it's not an exact match so they round it off to the nearest whole number, both in game and in real life.
Turn off "traffic offenses" in the gameplay option and you never get a fine anymore. If you mean the "Truck Speed limiter" governing the truck to max 90 km/h, you can turn that off too in the gameplay options. However the External Market/Contracts are always speed limited so if you want to go faster, don't do external jobs. Cars drive like 40kmh over the legal speed limit (forexample if the speed limit is 100, they drive 140.) And trucks drive like 30kmh under their legal speed limit (forexample on the highway they drive 50kmh instead of 80kmh.) It is really annoying cuz i have to swap lanes every 10 seconds. And if YOU try to drive as fast as the cars, 140kmh, the car infront of you literally slams on the brakes There is no real difference between the trucks in regards to driving performance. They are all good with the higher power engines and gearboxes. You can easily do 60T loads with a 6x4 strallis using 500+ Bhp no problem at all. The only real issue with the truck is that its old, and the interior has never been updated. Re: My truck will not go past 65 mph.. #2 by supersobes » 10 Dec 2019 20:51. In the gameplay settings, untick the box next the the truck speed limiter option. Note that the truck speed limiter can not be disabled during World of Trucks contracts. [ external image ] - With 80 km/h your truck moves with about 21.3 meters per second (real life data!), so because of that when you see a speed limit sign with a lower speed than your actual speed you must quickly lower your speed. - Remember a speed limit sign rules count in that moment you pass the sign, and because of that you may be on the signs speed or The signs r for max speed not the speed u should be going at. U drive the speed u feel in control off. Some loads need a lower speed than others going around bends. the posted speed limit sign r for cars. trucks usualy have a lower speed limit. The speed limit stuff isn't that bad, but once I start losing a lot of money because the speed limit wants to go from unlimited or 130 all the down to 90 instantly, it gets annoying because it takes 550 euros away if I don't slow down fast enough.

Actually, the limiters on HGV's in the UK are set at 56mph, not 60mph. Also, in the UK the speed limits on single carriageways (A roads and B roads), are 40mph, dual carriageways are 50mph, and 60mph on motorways. Although there is a consultation going on at the moment to increase the single carriageway speed to 50mph.
please help is there any chance there a mod or some type of patch to show on the gps/route adviser the max speed because it gets confusing what the speed limit is on that piece of road there must be some way to see for example truck speed 60 then / then speed limit 70 and it looks like this: 60/70 mph on the gps please can anyone help?????
Truck speed limits are 55 mph in California and in WOT make things fair the speed limited of 65 is used. Some trucking companies go as low as 58 mph and others put the speed limiter at 68 mph. ETS2 trucks in EU max out at 80kph not different than ATS in some ways.
You can see speed limiter setting here: In city: [ats] 45 mph Speed limiter setting / having WOTR contract: [ats] 65 mph Speed limiter forced by game server: [ats] 85 mph Default speed limiter: [ats] 100 mph Then you need to do both of the following: 1-) Disable the speed limiter in your ETS2/ATS settings (Book Here)
That would, for the most part, prevent those 'accidents' from happening. Always 90 km/h (60 mph). EU regulations dictate that all trucks sold in the EU, or driving through the EU, must be engine limited to 56mph/90kph. Individual countries may have speed laws that are slower or in some cases faster.
